About Me

As an executive, husband, and father, Steve understands the pressures and challenges that life and leadership bring, sometimes in the most unexpected measure.

In 1999, Steve’s first son, Caleb, was born with complex disabilities. Everything changed in an instant and Steve found himself shaken to his core! Life had taken on a new journey - one with no navigation system. Over the next few years words like struggle, exhaustion, perplexity and brokenness would become his companions on a path that seemed to have no destination. One day, Steve heard a statement, “Where your greatest pain and greatest passion intersect, is where you will find your calling.” Through prayer and reflection, Steve discovered his calling and God’s purpose for his pain.

For the last twenty years, Steve has lived On Mission as an executive leader in the nonprofit industry - developing, leading and executing multi-national corporate strategy around the world.

He has, with God’s grace, led his family from surviving to thriving as he celebrates 29 years of marriage to his lovely bride, Melissa.

Steve is a sought after advisor on leadership development, growth strategy, team dynamics and diversity inclusion. He is an award winning published author, with his most treasured book, Another Kind of Courage for special needs dads.

Steve is a contributor to various radio programs and magazines including Focus on the Family, Christianity Today, Charisma Magazine, Outreach Magazine and more. He holds a BA in Theology and Missions, an MA in Organizational Leadership, Certified in Mindful Leadership from Stanford University, and Certified in Christian Non-Profit Leadership from the Christian Leadership Association. He is an ordained minister and certified coach.

Steve would love the opportunity to journey with you as you learn to live On Mission!
